The plan

The plan looks like this. One month, about 6000km and 15 cities. Meeting old friends, making new ones, couchsurfing, blogging, pizza-hunting, hitchhiking, travelling on overnight buses and, most of all, playing. Everywhere. On the streets, on jam sessions, with the locals... The best way to clear my mind after the return from the African dream...

The idea came to my head some time before I went to Ghana. I already had a ticket for the concert of Mark Knopfler in Oslo for early June, meeting Roman and Ondro there. So why not combine it? There's many other friends on the way, the summer days in Scandinavia are long, and a trip like this was always one of my dreams. Say it might not work out? Yep, it might not. But it will :-)

Other then simply making this little dream come true, I also have a goal during the trip. Just like the last summer, street-playing in Oslo, I plan to use some of the raised money to donate a guitar - this time for an orphanage in Slovakia, where I will be returning from the Polish side at the beginning of July (if things work out). I haven't found one yet, but I will keep trying. Do you know of one where a guitar would be of use? Let me know. I think adding some additional meaning to whatever you do is never a bad idea - it keeps you motivated when the tough times come. And there will be tough times, I'm sure.
